Fujita et al. discovered a novel transmembrane glycoprotein in the cell wall of moss plants. This protein was named “Sleeping beauty” because of its cell dormancy effect. This protein is thought to regulate the growth and shape of plant cells by regulating the properties of the cell wall.<\/p>\n
